Draupadis Eld is a music, dance and theatre performance for children 5 - 9 years and families. Draupadi, the young princess, is a brave girl that likes to dance. When she marries and becomes the queen of the country she becomes drawn into a dangerous dice game and finds herself in the middle of the battle between two families. But Draupadi takes her faith in her own hands…

Långsjö Teater in collaboration with Stockholm Sangeet performs a small part of the great epos Mahabharata. By introducing indian classical music and instruments and mix it with storytellin, mime and dance, an interactive performance take place that shows the indian classical culture in a swedish every day perspective. In the performance Stian Grimstad plays sitar, Moa Danielson santoroor and Maria Magdolna Beky Winnerstam tells the story by voice, mime and dance inspired by both indian classical dance and hiphop. The workshop is followed by a short workshop in indian dance and rhythms.
